Mihoyo just released new trailer for upcoming Genshin Impact 1.5 update. From this trailer, we got so many hints about what player can expect from the update, new characters, new housing system etc.

The new trailer is titled “Beneath the Light of Jadeite”. Before we are talking about what we can expect from the new 1.5 update, let’s watch video below:

New enemy: Azhdaha and Cryo Hypostasis

During your exploration in area near Mt. Hulao, you might remember meeting a little girl named Jiu. She can be found under a big tree with blue veins. When you try talking to her, she will talk about ancient being sealed under the tree.

This new boss, Azhdaha is the one she mentioned in her story. From the trailer, it seems like we will get quest about this girl and discovery of new Dragon Boss. From the preview in trailer, Azhdaha look similiar with Primo Geovishap but bigger.

Azhdaha ability also look similiar to Primo Geovishap, such as digging the ground, absorbing element and release aoe attack, etc. If the information from the leaks is right, then this boss will drop ascension and talent level up materials for 2 new upcoming character: Yanfei and Eula.

As for Cryo Hypostasis, we don’t really get detailed preview. Cube shaped with Cryo elemental, and of course different attack rotation with other hypostasis bosses.

New Characters: Yanfei & Eula

We’ve been getting information from leakers about 2 new upcoming character: Yanfei and Eula. Yanfei is legal adviser from Liyue Harbor with mixed blood of an illuminated beast just like Ganyu, with pyro element and using Catalyst as weapon.

Eula is Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company and descendant of Mondstadt artistocrat, wielding claymore as weapon with Cryo element.

New Serenitea Pot

Let’s remember our quest in Liyue after player met Zhongli. At that time, Zhongli ask us to borrow teapot from his friend. That friend is and old woman called Madam ping, and turned out she have the whole dungeon inside her old teapot.

This new housing system seems like using same concept as Madam Ping teapot. From the trailer, she will give us teapot and bird as assistant/helper to help us manage housing inside the teapot. When the time comes, the bird assistant will explain everything we need to know about this new housing system.

New Artifacts: Tenacity of the Millelith and Pale Flame

2 new artifacts is coming although with no detail about where player can get it. here’s the bonus set of both artifacts:

Artifact	Set Bonus
Tenacity of the Millelith	HP Increased by 20%. When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.
Pale Flame	Physical DMG is increased by 25%. When Elemental Skill hits an opponent, ATK is increased by 6% for 7s. This effect stacks up to 3 times and can be triggered once every 0.3s. Once 3 stacks are reached, the 2-set effect is increased by 100%.

Tenacity of the Millelith will be really good for HP based character with shield like Zhongli and Diona. As for Pale Flame, it’s have same 2 set bonus as Bloodstained Chivalry but have better 4 set bonus so this will be a good upgrade for all physical build characters.
