Yoimiya DPS Build Guide

Yoimiya Build Guide
Yoimiya Build Guide

Yoimiya is the most recently released character in Genshin Impact. She’s using pyro vision and wield a bow, although because her Elemental Burst. Her role kinda confusing as DPS or sub dps.

Overview

Yoimiya DPS build revolves around her normal attack machine gun infused with pyro from her Elemental Skill. Honestly when it comes to DPS you can just ignore her charged attack, it’s deal little damage and missed a lot.

Yoimiya Elemental skill, Niwabi Fire-Dance will infuse all her normal attack with pyro. During this time, arrows fired by Yoimiya’s Normal Attack will be Blazing Arrows, and their DMG will be increased and converted to Pyro DMG.

As for Yoimiya Elemental Burst, is where things gets little confusing.

Her Elemental Burst, Ryukin Saxifrage is a single target and will mark that one enemy with Aurous Blaze. And here’s the description of her passive, Summer Night’s Dawn:

Using Ryuukin Saxifrage causes nearby party members (not including Yoimiya) to gain a 10% ATK increase for 15s. Additionally, a further ATK Bonus will be added on based on the number of “Tricks of the Trouble-Maker” stacks Yoimiya possesses when using Ryuukin Saxifrage. Each stack increases this ATK Bonus by 1%.

TLDR, her Elemental Burst will only benefits other party member. Though it won’t be a problem if you are using her as sub dps. So, use her elemental burst and then switch to your main DPS to do the work.

Weapons

Thundering Pulse

Released at the same time a Yoimiya, I can say that this weapon is her signature weapon and works well with 4 set Shimenawa Reminiscence artifact set. It will boost her damage tremendously as explained by the passive, Rule of Thunder:

Increases ATK by 20/25/30/35/40% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40%15/30/59%18/36/60%21/42/70%24/48/80%. The character will obtain 1 stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Skill (stacks lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.

Aside from CRIT DMG and 20% attack boost. Assuming that you are using 4 Shimenawa. Whenever you are using her elemental skill: Niwabi Fire-Dance, you will always have 3 stack most of the time because 4 Shimenawa will reduce your Energy by 15.

Skyward Harp

2nd best from 5 star lineup, Skyward Harp will give huge boost for CRIT Rate from it’s substats and CRIT DMG from it’s passive, Echoing Ballad:

Increases CRIT DMG by 20/25/30/35/40%. Hits have a 60/70/80/90/100% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4/3.5/3/2.5/2 s.

Amos Bow

Amos bow passive straight giving boost for her normal attack:

Increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 12/15/18/21/24%. Normal and Charged Attack DMG increases by 8/10/12/14/16% every 0.1 seconds for up to 5 times.

You can just ignore the charged attack part.

Rust

Rust is the best 4 star bow for character who’s relying on their normal attack as main source of damage like Yoimiya and Childe. Here’s the description of it’s passive, Rapid Firing:

Increases Normal Attack DMG by 40/50/60/70/80% but decreases Charged Attack DMG by 10%.

Hamayumi (F2P)

Newly craftable bow from Inazuma. Easy to refine, as long as you have enough bow billet. At refinement 5, this bow will increase normal attack by 32% as explained by it’s passive, Full Draw:

Increases Normal Attack DMG by 16/20/24/28/32% and Charged ATK DMG by 12/15/18/21/24%. When the equipping character’s Energy reaches 100%, this effect is increased by 100%.

Artifacts

Non Elemental Reactions: 4 Set Shimenawa

4 Shimenawa Set Bonus
4 Shimenawa Set Bonus

If you want easy DPS, go for 4 set Shimenawa. Losing 15 Energy for 50% normal attack increase is a big win. This attack increase will also applies when Yoimiya using her elemental skill Niwabi Fire-Dance

Elemental Reactions: Crimson Witch of Flames

Go for 4 set if you are going for elemental reactions damage bonuses. If you are just want it’s 15% Pyro DMG Bonus, you can combine it with 2 Gladiator or 2 Shimenawa (same effect, both gives 18% ATK).
